Forum on Global Economy to be Held in London

 

 
 
Radhika Balakrishnan will be one of three speakers at a forum on economic policy and social justice scheduled for February 28 in London.
 
She will discuss her new book, Rethinking Economic Policy for Social Justice: The Radical Potential of Human Rights, with her co-authors, Diane Elson and James Heintz. 
 
The forum is sponsored by the Centre for the Study of Human Rights of the London School of Economics and will be available on a podcast soon after the event. Details are available at human.rights@lse.ac.uk.
 
Balakrishnan, who is director of the Center for Women’s Global Leadership at Rutgers University, worked in the Asia and Pacific office of the Foundation from 1992 to 1995.
 
Diane Elson is emeritus professor of sociology at the University of Essex, and James Heintz is the assistant director of the Political Economy Research Institute at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst.
